Asian Burgers with Five-Spice Mayo

Ingredients

1/4 c reduced-fat mayonnaise

1-1/2 tsp reduced-sodium soy sauce

1/4 tsp Asian five-spice powder

1 Large egg, beaten

2 Scallions, finely chopped (green tops included)

1 tsp peeled and minced fresh gingerroot

1 tsp minced fresh garlic

1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 lb GROUND TURKEY

4 Hamburger sesame-seed rolls, split and lightly toasted

Asian Five-Spice Mayo



Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate for, at least, 1 hour.




Turkey Burgers



Combine egg, scallions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and pepper. Gently mix in ground turkey and thoroughly combine.


Shape into four 4-ounce burgers.


Grill or broil burgers 4 to 6 inches from heat, over medium direct heat. Turn only once. Cook to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.


Serve in toasted buns with Asian Five-Spice Mayo.
