Cheddar Turkey Melt

Cooked Turkey


1 c mayonnaise

1/3 c sweet onion, minced

3/4 c celery, finely chopped

2 tbsp sweet honey mustard

1-1/2 tsp thyme

freshly ground black pepper To Taste

2-1/4 qt COOKED TURKEY, chopped or cubed

24 Slices seven-grain or whole wheat bread

2-1/4 c cranberry sauce

12 (1-oz) slices Cheddar cheese



Combine mayonnaise, onion, celery, mustard, and seasonings. Blend in cubed cooked turkey. Cover and hold for service for up to 1-1/2 days.

Per order: portion turkey mixture onto bread slices and spread mixture evenly to the edges.

Top each with 3 tablespoons cranberry sauce and spread to edges. Cover each with 1-ounce slice Cheddar.

Broil sandwich until cheese begins to melt. Top with remaining bread slice. Cut on the diagonal and serve immediately.
