Grilled Jalapeno Turkey Burgers with Jalapeno Mayonnaise



1-1/2 c mayonnaise

3 Cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced


3/4 c scallions, chopped

3 Cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1/3 c pickled jalapeno peppers, minced

1-1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

4 French bread baguettes, ends trimmed, each cut crosswise into 3 pieces

12 oz Monterey Jack cheese with jalapenos, sliced


Chili Mayonnaise

Mix mayonnaise, 3 garlic cloves and 2 teaspoons minced jalapeno in medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and hold for service in refrigerator.

Turkey Burgers

Gently combine ground turkey, scallions, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, pickled jalapeno peppers, salt and pepper. Shape into 12 patties (each weighing 1/3 pound).

Grill patties over medium hot grill until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.


Cut each French baguette piece in half, lengthwise. Place turkey burgers on 6 French baguette slices.

Top with cheese. Heat under broiler until cheese melts.

Spread Chili Mayonnaise on remaining bread slices and rest atop turkey burgers.
