Herbed Baked Turkey Strips


1 c all purpose flour

1 c dry bread crumbs

2 tbsp dried parsley

1 tsp dried thyme

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried rosemary, crushed

1 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese

2 Large eggs

1/4 c whole milk

As needed olive oil

1 lb TURKEY TENDERLOINS, lightly lbed to an even thickness & sliced into strips


1. Wash hands. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. In a medium sized bowl, combine flour, bread crumbs, parsley, thyme, oregano, rosemary, pepper, garlic powder, salt and Parmesan cheese.

3. In a separate shallow pie pan, whip eggs and milk together.

4. Cover two large baking sheets (with a rim on all 4 sides) with olive oil. Place pans in the hot oven and heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until the oil is hot.

5. Meanwhile, dip turkey strips in the egg mixture, then in the flour mixture. Place turkey strips on a rack until all are breaded.

6. Using oven mitts, remove the pans from the oven and carefully place turkey strips in the hot oil, leaving about 1/2 inch between each strip.

7. Using oven mitts return pans to hot oven. Bake until golden brown on bottom side, about 10 minutes.

8. Again, with oven mitts, remove pans from the oven. Using tongs, turn turkey over to brown the other side. Continue to bake until all sides are brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.
