One pan of this Mexican-Style Ground Turkey can be turned into a whole variety of delicious and colorful dishes your whole family will love, think: tacos, Mexican-spiced grain bowls, nachos, quesadillas, and more.
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
Directions
In a large skillet or sauce pan, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat until the oil is shimmering.
Add the ground turkey and spices. Gently break up the ground turkey with a wooden spoon and cook until golden, about 8 minutes.
Remove the Turkey from the pan, and set aside. Add chopped peppers and onions, saute until onions become translucent and peppers soften, about 5 minutes. Then add that Turkey back in and combine.
Once cooked, remove from heat and set aside until you’re ready to use the turkey. This will keep refrigerated for up to 4 days; reheat slowly over low heat in a pan on the stovetop, stirring frequently.
