1 tsp vegetable oil
1/2 c sweet onion, chopped
2 tbsp jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
1 Clove garlic, chopped
1 lb GROUND TURKEY
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/4 c fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tsp lime zest, minced
1/2 c mayonnaise
2 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, jalapeño pepper and garlic; sauté until tender. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, stirring to crumble.
Drain; add cumin and next 3 ingredients. Stir well.
Position knife blade in food processor bowl; add cooked poultry mixture, cilantro and remaining ingredients. Process until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled.
Serve chilled with tortilla chips or crackers.
