1 lb, 13 oz enriched flour
3/4 tsp salt
1-1/2 tbsp sugar
1/4 oz dry yeast
10 oz lukewarm water
1 oz margarine, softened
2-1/2 lbs HOT TURKEY ITALIAN SAUSAGE
1 qt prepared spaghetti sauce
1 tbsp dried oregano leaves
1 tbsp dried basil leaves
1 lb, 9 oz Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Pizza Dough
Combine flour, salt, and sugar and mix thoroughly. Set aside.
Soften yeast in water. Combine with margarine and dry ingredients, mixing on low speed to form dough. Knead dough until smooth and elastic; cover, allow to rise 2 hours. Punch dough down and let rest 45 minutes.
Roll dough to fit into an oiled 18x26-inch pan. Trim and flute edges.
Assembly and Finish
Over medium heat, cook turkey sausage until an internal temperature of 165 degrees F is reached, or until sausage is no longer pink. Drain and discard any pan drippings, if necessary. Cover and refrigerate until ready to assemble.
Spread prepared spaghetti sauce evenly over dough. Sprinkle with dried herbs. Distribute cooked turkey sausage and cheese evenly over sauce.
Bake in a preheated 400 degree F oven for 15 minutes or until cheese bubbles. Cut into 4x6-inch portions. Serve warm.
