Spicy Rice



2-1/4 c instant rice

2 tsp olive oil

2-1/4 c water

1 tsp dried minced onion

1 tsp green pepper flakes

1/2 tsp salt


  1. Use with South American-Style Turkey Thighs recipe.

  2. In medium saucepan over medium-high heat, saute rice in oil 3 minutes or until golden brown, stirring constantly.

  3. Remove pan from heat and slowly add water, onion, green pepper and salt. Return pan to heat, cover and bring to boil.

  4. Remove pan from heat and allow rice to stand 5 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is fluffy.
