1-1/4 lbs GROUND TURKEY
3/4 c crushed baked tortilla chips
1/4 c sliced scallions
1 Large egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp oil
4 Medium Kaiser buns
4 Medium lettuce leaves, washed, drained and chilled
1/4 c reduced fat sour cream
1 tbsp minced scallions
Pickles and peppers As needed
Mix turkey, chips, scallions, ½ cup cold water, egg, garlic, chili powder, cumin and salt in a large bowl until very well blended. Shape into 4 burgers.
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Sauté burgers, 12 to 15 minutes, turning once. Cook until turkey is no longer pink at center and the internal temperature registers 165°F on a meat thermometer inserted from side to middle.
Meanwhile mix sour cream with minced scallions.
Serve burgers on buns with lettuce. Top with 1 tablespoon sour cream mixture. Serve with pickles and peppers.
