2 lbs Ground turkey
4 Leaves Kaffir lime
2 Stalks Lemongrass
5 Cloves Garlic
2 Serrano peppers (or peppers of your choice)
1 c Water
2 tbsp Vegetable oil
1 tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 Medium Red onion, thinly sliced
1 Bunch Cilantro, chopped
In a blender bring the lemongrass stalks, kaffir lime leaves, ginger, garlic, green chili, and a cup of water to a smooth paste.
In a saute pan, heat oil and salt and stir well.
Add the ground turkey and mix well, cook on a medium to high heat until the ground turkey is cooked through. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Add thinly sliced red onions and a bunch of cilantro and serve on a taco, as a lettuce wrap or over a bowl of steaming white rice.
