1 lb GROUND TURKEY
1 Medium Granny Smith apple, peeled and grated
1 c whole wheat bread crumbs
1/2 c finely chopped onion
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Vegetable cooking spray
1 tbsp apple jelly
In medium bowl combine turkey, apple, bread crumbs, onion, ginger, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
In (9-inch diameter) pie plate, sprayed with vegetable oil, shape mixture into round loaf approximately 7 inches in diameter. Bake at 350 degrees (Fahrenheit) 45 to 60 minutes or until meat thermometer, inserted in the center, registers 160 to 165 degrees (Fahrenheit) and juices run clear.
Spread apple jelly over top of loaf and bake 5 to 7 minutes or until jelly melts and forms glaze.
To serve, slice and serve hot.
