4-1/2 lbs GROUND TURKEY ROLL, FROZEN
2 tsp dry mustard
2 tsp dried thyme, crushed
1-1/2 tsp ground sage
1 tsp each kosher salt and black pepper
12 (1-oz) slices Monterey Jack cheese
12 Hamburger buns, split and toasted
12 Lettuce leaves, washed, drained and chilled
12-24 Thin tomato slices
12 Very thin slices red onion, separated into rings
Cut turkey roll into 12 slices; store patties between waxed paper until needed.
Stir together mustard, thyme, sage and salt and pepper.
Cooking and Service
For Service: sprinkle desired number of patties with herb mixture.
Grill burgers, about 4 to 5 inches from the heat source, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F, turning the burgers only once.
Top with cheese and heat only until melted. Place lettuce on the bottom half of bun, top with burger. Add tomato, onion rings and bun top.
Serve with fresh fruit.
