Turkey Chili with Beans

Ingredients

1-1/2 tbsp olive oil

2-1/2 lbs GROUND TURKEY

2 Medium onions, diced

1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced

1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and diced

1/2 c diced celery

1 tbsp minced garlic

7 c marinara sauce

2 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp dried thyme

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

2 c kidney beans, cooked

1-1/4 c Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Directions


 



Heat oil over medium heat in a heavy stockpot. Cook turkey, onions, peppers, celery and garlic until turkey is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.


Stir in marinara sauce, chili powder and herbs.


Add kidney beans and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.


Place into individual serving dishes and garnish each portion with 2 tablespoons shredded cheese.
