Turkey in a Pocket



2 c COOKED TURKEY, cut into 1/4-inch cubes

1 c thinly sliced mushrooms, stems removed

1 avocado, peeled and cut into 1/8-inch cubes

1/2 c Italian dressing

1 tomato, seeded and cut into 1/8-inch cubes

4 oz cream cheese, at room temperature

1/4 c mayonnaise

4 Whole Wheat pita breads, cut in half



In medium bowl, combine turkey, mushrooms and avocado; fold in Italian dressing. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Add tomato to the turkey/vegetable mixture.

In small bowl, whip cream cheese and mayonnaise together.

To serve, spread 1 tablespoon of cheese/mayonnaise mixture into each pita half. Fill each half with 1/2 cup of turkey mixture.
