1 lb GROUND TURKEY
1/2 c onion, chopped
1/4 c green pepper, chopped
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 Can (14-1/2 oz) stewed tomatoes
1 Medium Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
1/4 c golden raisins
2 tbsp pimiento stuffed olives, thinly sliced
Hot cooked rice As needed
1/4 c almonds, toasted
In large skillet, over medium-high heat, sauté turkey, onion, green pepper and garlic until turkey is no longer pink.
Stir in sugar, cinnamon, cumin, cloves, tomatoes, apple, raisins and olives. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
Serve over cooked rice and top with toasted almonds.
