Turkey Taco Burgers



1 lb GROUND TURKEY, recommend blend of white/dark turkey or all dark

1/4 c spicy taco sauce

1/2 tsp salt

4 Slices reduced-fat Monterey Jack cheese, (1 oz each)

4 Hamburger buns, split and toasted

4 tbsp guacamole



Remove grill rack from charcoal grill. Prepare grill for direct heat cooking method.

In medium bowl combine turkey, taco sauce and salt. Shape into 4 burgers, about 1/2-inch thick.

Spray cold grill rack with non-stick spray and position over hot coals. Grill turkey burgers, 4 inches from the heat, for 5 to 6 minutes per side or until 165 degrees F is reached on meat thermometer. Top each burger with a slice of cheese for the last minute of grilling time.

To serve, place each turkey burger on bottom half of bun and top with a tablespoon of guacamole. Place top half of bun on burger.
