Barbecue Turkey Burger with Roasted Red Peppers




1 c Worcestershire sauce

2 c Cattlemen's Original Barbecue Sauce

1/2 c olive oil

3 c plain bread crumbs

1/3 c fresh lime juice

1/3 c fresh parsley, chopped

1 c fresh thyme leaves, whole

2 tbsp freshly ground black pepper

24 4-inch diameter kaiser rolls, split horizontally and grilled

1-1/2 c mayonnaise

24 roasted red pepper halves

24 slices mild Cheddar cheese

3 c Cattlemen's Original Barbecue Sauce

6 c mixed baby field greens

24 fresh tomato slices

24 thin red onion slices



Mix ground turkey, Worcestershire and barbecue sauces, oil, bread crumbs, lime juice, parsley, thyme and pepper. Form into 6-ounce burgers.

Grill burgers until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.


Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on grilled side of bottom half of roll. Top with red pepper half and grilled burger.

Place 1 slice of Cheddar on top of burger and heat under broiler until cheese is melted. Remove from broiler.

Drizzle 2 tablespoons of additional barbecue sauce over cheese.

Top with 1/4 cup mixed field greens, 1 tomato slice and 1 onion slice.

Partially close sandwich with top half of bun, revealing contents.
