2 tbsp apple butter
1/2 tsp spicy whole-grain mustard
1 to 2 tsp unsalted butter, melted
2 Slices multigrain bread
4 oz OVEN ROASTED TURKEY BREAST, sliced thin
1 oz sliced smoked Cheddar cheese
1/4 to 1/3 Gala apple, cored and thinly sliced
Combine apple butter and spicy whole-grain mustard.
Brush top side of bread slices with melted butter. Turn bread and spread both slices with apple butter.
Layer sliced turkey, Cheddar and apple slices over apple butter. Cover with remaining bread, buttered side out.
Preheat a flat-surfaced griddle. If using a covered grill, close lid and cook until cheese melts. If using a flat griddle, turn sandwich when the bottom is a golden brown and cook until all surfaces are golden and the cheese melts.
Cut in half, on the diagonal, and serve immediately.
